Hampshire Group, Limited

PRIVACY POLICY

Hampshire Group is committed to safeguarding your privacy. To educate our users, we have created this Privacy Policy to inform you about the information we gather and use when you visit our web site, who has access to it, what happens to it, and what control you have over its use.

What information does Hampshire Group collect from you?
Hampshire Group collects two types of information from its registrants and visitors: Personal Information and Anonymous Information.

What is Personal Information?
"Personal Information" includes: (i) personally identifiable information, such as your name, phone number, mailing address, e-mail address, etc.; and (ii) demographic information, such as your age, gender, income level, household size, etc.

What is Anonymous Information?
"Anonymous Information" means information that cannot be traced back specifically to you as an individual. While you are on our web site, we collect Anonymous Information such as what web site you came from, what web pages you go to on our web site, the time of your visit, the type of web browser you use (the software you use to connect to the Internet and visit web sites) and the type of computer system you use. Such information is gathered on an aggregated basis (meaning you are not personally identified).

What do certain Internet terms mean?
A "URL" (Uniform Resource Locator) is the global address of web sites and web pages on the World Wide Web.

An "IP address" (Internet Protocol address) is a number that identifies your computer so that data (such as the web site you want to go to) can be sent to you.

A "referrer ID" is information from your web browser showing us what URL you linked from so we can see what web sites linked to our web site.

A "GUID" is a Globally Unique Identifier, or an unambiguously unique number assigned to your computer, which is downloaded to your computer's hard drive if you download software from the world wide web.

How does Hampshire Group collect Personal and Anonymous Information?
We collect Personal Information from you when you register through the Hampshire Group website, or if you contact us with questions or requests for help (i.e., technical support). We keep your Personal Information confidential as a record of correspondence and use it strictly to respond to such requests.

We collect Anonymous Information from your web browser which sends information to our web server in the form of URLs, cookies, referral IDs, IP addresses, computer system information, and logs of web browsing activities ("web logs"). We use cookies to keep track of visitors to our website.

What information is collected from you as a visitor of a Hampshire Group web site?
If you are just visiting our web site and do not register, then we collect Anonymous Information from you to determine what URL you came to us from and to calculate the number of visitors to our Site.

What information is collected from you if you register with Hampshire Group?
At Hampshire Group, we collect Personal Information when you register with us. During the registration process, we ask our users to provide their e-mail address. Information provided during the registration process is only accessible by our employees who are directly involved with the operation of the web site. We also use your Personal Information to get a better sense of our users' interests in order to improve our content and our service offerings. Other than the two uses described here and unless you give us your prior express written consent, we do not share, rent, or sell any of your Personal Information to any other outside parties, and we do not link this information to any anonymous usage statistics.

How will my Personal Information be used?
By registering with us, we will use your e-mail address to send you the requested information.

Who is collecting your information?
Hampshire Group is collecting either Personal or Anonymous Information from you when you register with us or visit the Site. If we ask you for Personal Information, however, you are sharing that information with Hampshire Group alone, unless we specifically obtain your prior written permission, through the registration process, to disclose such information to outside parties that we will describe.

With whom and how is your information being shared?
As a general rule, Hampshire Group does not disclose any of your Personal Information that could specifically identify you as an individual except when we have your specific written permission prior to making such a disclosure. If you do not want your Personal Information to be shared or used by an outside party, you can choose to prevent such use by telling us when you receive and respond to our notice of such a disclosure.

We may, however, convert Personal Information into Anonymous Information by using data related to demographics, interests, and behavior on an aggregated basis to better understand and serve our users. We may also share this aggregated data with our business partners. No outside party, however, will have access to any personally identifiable information about you except when we have your specific written permission prior to such access.

How does Hampshire Group protect and keep your information secure?
Although no data transmission over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure, we will use our best efforts to ensure its security on our systems.

What are your choices with regard to changing, deleting, and preventing disclosure of your information?
Hampshire Group may, from time to time, send you e-mail (if you register with the Site and give us your consent to do so) regarding our company. You may edit your Hampshire Group registrant information at any time by re-submitting the information required in the Email Alerts. You may also un-subscribe to any Hampshire Group user services or communications by checking UNSUBSCRIBE in the E-mail Alerts screen. If you un-subscribe to all services, we will then permanently delete all your Personal Information stored on our computers.

What happens if Hampshire Group changes this Privacy Policy?
Each time the terms of this Privacy Policy are changed, the date of the posting of the current version will be noted at the bottom of the policy. In the event that the terms of this Privacy Policy change to allow for the collection of more Personal Information or to allow for different uses of any information collected by the Site, a clear and conspicuous notice will be placed on the Site homepage a reasonable time before the change goes into effect, and all previously registered users of the Site will have the opportunity to modify their registrant information and their preferences for Site services and communications if they wish.
